At noon on September 16, 2026, the welcome ceremony for the 2025 undergraduate class was held in Conference Room 309 of the Multi-functional Building at Jiulonghu Campus, School of Transportation, Southeast University. Attendees included Chen Yi, Party Committee Secretary of the School of Transportation; Ma Tao, Dean; Zhang Hang, Deputy Party Committee Secretary and Vice Dean; Yang Min, Vice Dean; Zhang Dingwen, Vice Dean; Xu Chengcheng, Vice Dean; Hua Xuedong, Vice Dean; class advisors of the 2025 undergraduate class—Tao Yinhua, Yu Xinlian, Jiang Chao, and Zhang Guozhu; undergraduate counselors of the School; and all 2025 undergraduates. The ceremony was presided over by Zhang Hang, Deputy Party Committee Secretary and Vice Dean of the School of Transportation.

After the warm-up video concluded, Chen Yi, Party Committee Secretary of the School of Transportation at Southeast University, extended a warm welcome on behalf of the School to the arrival of the Class of 2025 "transportation students." Secretary Chen reviewed the School's history of education, noting that the School of Transportation has provided successive generations of students with a broad platform to grow, develop, and showcase their talents. She shared three hopes for the new students:First, anchor yourselves to the mission of the times and cultivate a deep sense of patriotism. Taking senior alumni and predecessors as role models, integrate your personal aspirations with the needs of the nation.Second, persist in the pursuit of knowledge and truth, and dare to innovate across disciplines. Proactively engage with frontier directions such as "AI + Transportation," and strive for excellence in academic exploration and technological innovation.Third, maintain youthful vitality while caring for both yourself and the world. Demonstrate the unique spirit and character of today's young generation.Finally, Secretary Chen wished the students a wonderful college life at Southeast University and at the School of Transportation, and encouraged them to shoulder the historic mission of accelerating the building of a strong transportation nation.

Ma Tao, Dean of the School of Transportation, systematically presented the School's development blueprint, covering the transportation industry, smart transportation, as well as the School's distinctive programs and employment strengths. Dean Ma pointed out that, guided by the national strategy of building a strong transportation nation, the School is promoting the deep integration of new technologies—such as big data, the Internet, and artificial intelligence—with the transportation industry, accelerating comprehensive empowerment through "AI + Transportation." Finally, Dean Ma extended a warm welcome to the Class of 2025 and expressed his hope that the students will grow, on the broad stage offered by the School of Transportation, into leading industry talents capable of shouldering great responsibilities at an early date.

Class advisors are the guiding mentors on students' path of growth and a vital force for the School in fulfilling its fundamental mission of fostering virtue through education. Upon entering the School of Transportation, each class of the Class of 2025 has been assigned an experienced and dedicated teacher as class advisor. Vice Dean Yang Min presented appointment certificates to the class advisors of the Class of 2025. The advisors will accompany the students through this new stage of growth in multiple dimensions, including academic studies, scientific research, and career planning, answering their questions and guiding their way forward.

Following the appointment ceremony, Dean Ma Tao presented flags to the monitors of each class. The flag presentation was not merely a ceremony, but also a heartfelt expression of trust and expectation. The flags symbolize the cohesion of each class and carry forward the enduring spirit of the School of Transportation from generation to generation, inspiring the Class of 2025 to unite and strive forward with courage and resolve on their future academic journey.

At the end of the welcome ceremony, all faculty and students gathered for a group photo. In the heartwarming moment captured by the camera shutter, the welcome ceremony for the Class of 2025 undergraduates of the School of Transportation came to a successful close. The youthful, beaming faces of the students appeared side by side with their teachers in the frame, forming a warm portrait of the big family of the School of Transportation—where knowledge and wisdom, truth and character, and the pursuit of truth and pragmatism converge. The School of Transportation will forever be a warm home in the memories of youth.
